This season is turning out to be the year for women’s football, with the Youth Girls Female Football League expanding to a 14-team competition, a significant upsurge from the four-team league that started in 2012.
The 14 teams extend from Bairnsdale, East Gippsland, across the Wellington Shire and Latrobe Valley up to Phillip Island in the Bass Coast Shire.
